The parallel repetitive lines remind us of fields seen from above where rows of trees create a pattern on the mountains and slopes of the Greek landscape.
The clay used is traditional Greek terracotta earthenware. The cups have been hand-built from clay slabs. A blue and white slip has been used for its decoration, it has been glassed and fired at 1060c degrees.
